Next Steps for Chelsea After £30M Bid for Samu Omorodion Rejected by Atletico Madrid

The Blues continue to show interest in Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, but they may seek to negotiate a lower fee. Meanwhile, Chelsea’s summer striker shortlist remains under scrutiny after their unsuccessful bid for Samu Omorodion was turned down by Atletico Madrid.

Omorodion, a towering 6ft 3in forward, impressed during his loan spell at Alaves last season, scoring eight goals in La Liga. Despite his potential, Atletico rejected a £30 million offer from Chelsea, determined to retain one of their prized young talents.

As for Duran, the Colombian striker is keen on a move to Chelsea. The Blues are actively engaging with Aston Villa in discussions, but negotiations may focus on reducing the eventual transfer fee for the 20-year-old.
