In the first week of January 2022, Chelsea eliminated several teams from various cups.
One of them was Tottenham, who faced Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-finals. The semi-finals were played over two legs, with Chelsea having the home advantage in the 1st leg.
Chelsea took an early lead with a goal from Havertz in the 5th minute, and doubled it with an own goal from Ben Davies in the 32nd minute.
Chelsea sealed their place in the final with a win in the 2nd leg.
