Pochettino reveals he cancelled dinner with wife after Chelsea draw

Mauricio Pochettino shared that he didn’t go out for a birthday meal with his wife after Chelsea tied 2-2 with Brentford. Instead, he chose to watch the Asian Champions League with his coaching team.
He felt really upset after Chelsea didn’t win against Brentford. So, he told his wife he didn’t want to go out anymore. Chelsea hasn’t been doing great this season, and their draw with Brentford made things even harder.
Pochettino explained, “After the Brentford game on Saturday, I felt like we lost. I cancelled our dinner plans. I just wanted to stay home.” Luckily, his coaching staff was there with him. They spent the evening watching football matches and having some wine, but it wasn’t very exciting.
He admitted that his wife wasn’t happy about cancelling their dinner, but she understands that he’s feeling down because of Chelsea’s performance. Pochettino feels a big responsibility to make Chelsea fans happy and win games.
Chelsea’s next game is on Monday against Newcastle in the Premier League.
