Marco Silva was outraged by the decision and vented his frustration to the media after the game.
Pochettino was questioned about the decision and he gave the typical managers answer in an interview with TNT Sports. He said, “I respect his opinion. It was a tough challenge for the referees and the VAR, I don’t know if they check or not.
Ok. I’m not going to say anything, I accept that maybe…it was a red card but I cannot say much because I didn’t see all the angles and the camera yet. Look that is football.”
Gusto and Pochettino know they were lucky and maybe that’s what the team need.
