Chelsea’s coach, Mauricio Pochettino, is feeling the pressure to secure a spot in European competitions to secure his job. Despite recent victories, including a significant 5-0 win against West Ham, uncertainty looms over Pochettino’s future at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino has pointed out challenges like injuries and the young age of his squad, making it tough to meet the club’s expectations. However, there hasn’t been much support from Chelsea’s co-owners, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.

Nevertheless, consecutive wins in home London derbies, notably a 2-0 win against Tottenham, have boosted Pochettino’s chances of staying on for the next season.

Benoit Badiashile, a player for Chelsea, expressed the team’s support for Pochettino, highlighting the coach’s role in building their confidence. Badiashile and other young players like Marc Cucurella, Nicolas Jackson, Moises Caicedo, and Noni Madueke have shown improved performance lately.

Chelsea is now focused on chasing Newcastle and Manchester United for a spot in either the Europa League or Conference League. Badiashile believes in their potential to finish strong this season, aiming for at least the sixth position.

As players recover from injuries, including Thiago Silva’s return to the starting lineup, Chelsea’s momentum is on the rise. However, Silva has announced his departure from the club after this season, leaving a void that the team must adapt to.

Badiashile acknowledges Silva’s influence but emphasizes the need for him and his teammates to step up even in Silva’s absence. He values the support and guidance Silva provided but understands the need to continue improving independently.
