Premier League top scorers 2023-24: Cole Palmer brings fight to four-goal hero Erling Haaland

Cole Palmer is really giving Erling Haaland a run for his money in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot this season.
Last Saturday, the Manchester City striker scored an impressive hat-trick in the first half against Wolves, adding a fourth goal after halftime. This put him way ahead of Palmer and Alexander Isak, even though Isak managed to score one for Newcastle against Burnley.
Isak caught up to Palmer, tying for second place with the Chelsea player, right before Palmer scored against West Ham on Sunday.
Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa is also in the mix with 19 goals, though he’s trailing behind Haaland by five.
Dominic Solanke has been having a great season too, sitting comfortably in fifth place, just ahead of Mohamed Salah, who despite a quieter season than usual, still has a shot at finishing in the top three.
As it stands, there’s a four-way tie for seventh place after Bukayo Saka scored for Arsenal against Bournemouth last Saturday.
