After Chelsea’s narrow 1-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League, Raheem Sterling talked to the media about the team’s performance.

The blues secured the victory with a penalty from Cole Palmer just before the break, and moved up the league table.

Sterling admitted that the fans get nervous when the score is 0-0 for too long, and he told TNT Sports how the team dealt with that pressure.

He said, “We are learning from playing at a big club like Chelsea, and we know that sometimes we have to wait for the first goal in the first 15 minutes… we stayed calm and got the goal eventually, but we have to keep improving and getting results like this.”

He also stressed the importance of playing for Chelsea, and said, “I always say that at a club like Chelsea, the boys have to understand what the fans expect from us and not let the stadium noise distract us and play our game.”

Chelsea will enjoy the winter break in a good position in Europe, and will face Middlesbrough in the second leg of the Carabao Cup next.
