The Truth Behind Olise Snubbing Chelsea Amid Late Bids from Man Utd and City

Michael Olise Chooses Bayern Munich Over Manchester Clubs

Manchester United and Manchester City both made late attempts to sign Michael Olise, hoping to let the winger stay at Crystal Palace for one more year. However, Bayern Munich emerged victorious, securing the French winger despite serious interest from Chelsea.

On Friday night, Bayern Munich finalized their deal with Olise, reportedly worth around £60 million. Chelsea was also keen on signing him but couldn’t meet his wage demands.

United and City explored signing Olise at the last minute, aiming for a deal that would have seen him join next summer. However, Financial Fair Play rules prevented them from meeting his price tag this year.

Chelsea was never a serious contender for Olise. The winger wanted to play in the Champions League and had already rejected Chelsea once in the past year. Newcastle was also interested but couldn’t match Crystal Palace’s demands.

At 22, Olise is now set to join Bayern Munich, earning about £220,000 a week. New manager Vincent Kompany is rebuilding the squad after Bayern’s first trophyless season in 12 years.
