Gallagher has been rumoured to leave Stamford Bridge for a year now and it seems that the speculation is not over yet. David Ornstein from The Athletic claims that a new contract for the England international is not likely at the moment and that three clubs in the upper half of the table have made enquiries. Trevoh Chalobah
Chalobah was hoping to revive his career in January, after missing out on a move to Bayern Munich on the final day of the summer window, and now finding himself out of favour. Chelsea still have an international loan slot available, which gives Chalobah some more options.
