Enzo Fernandez, a player for Chelsea, celebrated his goal against Aston Villa by holding up his shirt to the fans. He pointed to his name and then to the field. Mauricio Pochettino, the manager, said this celebration was because of the criticism Fernandez and his teammates have faced this season.

Pochettino explained that Fernandez and some other players haven’t played as well as expected. There were even rumors that Fernandez wanted to leave Chelsea after only a year. But in the game against Aston Villa, Fernandez played amazingly. He controlled the midfield and scored a great goal from a free kick. After scoring, he took off his shirt and showed it to the fans.

Pochettino said the celebration was a response to the negative comments on social media. He reminded everyone that players are human and it’s not fair to criticize them so harshly. He praised Fernandez’s performance and said he has always believed in him.

Fernandez’s agent, Uriel Perez, also dismissed rumors that Fernandez regretted joining Chelsea. Perez said Fernandez is committed to the team and wants to win trophies with them. He acknowledged that the team is going through a tough time but believes they will improve with hard work.
